About the conference

We welcome you to the Second Information Security and Protection of Information Technologies workshop (ISPIT-2016) that will be held in conjunction with 18th FRUCT conference. Seminar is organized by Secure Information Technologies department of ITMO University and will take place at the ITMO University, Saint-Petersburg, Russia.
ISPIT is a scientific forum dedicated cyber security and IT-security. It focuses on novel researches and developments in these areas. In this seminar will bring together innovative thinkers, researchers, leading experts and security professionals for exchanging and investigating ideas, outcomes and experiences in all aspects of IT-security.
The seminar addresses all aspects of research into information security technologies. It highlights new results in the area of information security and protection of information.
All submitted papers will be reviewed by qualified experts in the field of information security. All accepted papers will be included in the proceeding of the FRUCT & ISPIT conference, published in IEEE Xplore (indexed by WoS and Scopus).

Call for papers

We are inviting proposals for full-text papers and extended abstracts. Topics of interest include (but are not limited to) the following subject areas:
Mobile devices security & cell phone security
Data Communication Channels Security
Information security in the financial and banking sectors
Digital forensics
Cloud computing security
All submitted papers will be reviewed by qualified experts in the field of information security. All accepted papers will be included in the proceeding of the FRUCT & ISPIT conference, published in IEEE Xplore (indexed by WoS and Scopus).

About FRUCT

FRUCT is the largest regional cooperation framework between academia and industry in form of open innovations. FRUCT conferences are attended by the representatives of 25 FRUCT member universities from Russia, Finland, Denmark, Italy, Ukraine, India, industrial experts from Qt community, EMC, EIT ICT Labs, Nokia Siemens Networks and a number of guests from other companies and universities.
The conference is an R&D forum for the most active students, academic experts, industrial researchers and influential representatives of business and government. The conference invites the world-class academic and industrial researchers to give lectures on the most relevant topics, provides an opportunity for student teams to present progress and results of their R&D projects, meet new interesting people and form new R&D teams. The conference program consists of 3 to 5 intensive (½ or full day) trainings on the most promising technologies, plus 3 days of the main conference.

Invited Speaker

Lilya Budaghyan, a researcher from the University of Bergen (Norway), is a leading specialist in the field of Boolean functions and their applications. She obtained her PhD degree from the University of Magdeburg (Germany, 2005) and habilitation degree from the University of Paris VIII (France, 2013). An author of the book "Construction and Analysis of Cryptographic Functions", she has been awarded a few prestigious fellowships and awards among which "Young Research Talent Grant" from Norwegian Research Council (2014), postdoctoral fellowship award from Foundation of Mathematical Sciences of Paris (2012) and Emil Artin Junior Prize in Mathematics (2011).
On ISPIT 2016 she will present the report "On Optimal S-Boxes for Block Ciphers”.

Call for Papers

We are pleased to announce the Call for Papers for the Second Annual Information Security and Protection of Information Technologies Seminar.
The conference scope includes the mobile devices and cell phones security, data communication channels security, information security in the financial and banking sectors, digital forensics and cloud computing security. It provides the good opportunity for authors and speakers to present their work and research results.
You can select one of the following 3 types of submissions:
  • Full papers (min 6 pages and up to 12 pages), deadline March 12, 2016;
  • Extended abstracts (min 200 words, max 5 pages), deadline March 12, 2016;
  • Poster or demo summary (min 200 words, max 5 pages), by April 2, 2016.
Please note that one person can be a coauthor of at maximum 3 submissions of all types. Submit.
All submitted papers will be peer reviewed by the Technical Committee. Please follow provided paper templates: MS Word or LaTeX. Please note the following major changes in the templates: The size of page should be Letter (21.59 cm × 27.94 cm). If you are using Word margins must be: top — 1.9 cm, bottom — 1.6 cm, left — 1.57 cm and right – 1.57 cm.
